The Lord Of the Rings, The Return of the King (2003)
This gown was inspired in the beautiful costume seen on the 3rd instalment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and is commonly known as the Blood Red Gown or Dying Frock.
This is a 2 part gown: A scooped neck underdress with long sleeves and a sleeveless overdress.
the Underdress is made of poly lining, midnight blue velvet, Red velvet and red lining with gold and red brocade neckline. It features custom made embroidery on the neckline and arm cuffs with dark gold lace. It is fully lined and closes with a zipper at the back.
The overdress is made of Midnight blue velvet and red & gold brocade fabrics. It features a small strap and it is also fully lined and closes with a zipper at the back.
The doll’s face was partially repainted by Me.
This dress was created as a commission for a 17″ Tonner Doll.
