The Lord Of the Rings, The Return of the King (2003)
This gown was inspired in the beautiful costume seen on the 3rd instalment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and is commonly known as the Requiem Gown.
This is a 2 part gown: A scooped neck underdress with long sleeves and a sleeveless overdress.
the Underdress is made of Silk Chiffon, satin and custom dyed brocade fabric. It features custom made embroidery on the fabric sleeves and upper bodice inspired in the original design that was made by over posing a layer of Silk chiffon and satin with metallic thread, glass beads and silver sequins. It also features a scoop neckline and sleeve details that was embroidered and beaded with glass bugle beads, glass seeds and sequins as well. It is fully lined and closes with a zipper at the back.
The overdress is made of blue/grey velvet and silver satin. It features a small strap that was embroidered with glass bugle beads, glass seeds and sequins also. It is also fully lined and closes with a zipper at the back.
The doll’s face was partially repainted by Me.
This dress was created as a commission for a 17″ Tonner Doll.
