Cinderella (2016) – Stepmother Lady Tremaine Arrival Gown
This dress was inspired by the brilliant design by Academy Award Costume designer Sandy Powell for the Disney’s Live action film Cinderella. This is the dress, Lady Tremaine wears the first time she is on screen.
It consists of a separate long sleeve bodice, pencil skirt, Over skirt, Gloves, Neck Scarf , jewelry and a hat, all hand crafted from patterns to sewing by me.
The bodice is made of a 3mm lime green sequin fabric, adorned with heat transfer Flocked Vinyl cut in the same design pattern as the original dress and individually placed. It is closed at the center back with tiny dark hooks.
The underskirt is made of a thin Black velvet fabric fully lined with white poly lining (to protect the doll from stains) and closed at the center back with a hook.
The overskirt is attached at the waist, made of Lime green Silk Satin and Black Silk Chiffon all pleated at the waist and hemmed with Silk Organza. It is adorned with heat transfer lime green flocked vinyl also cut in the same design pattern as the original gown. The floral design has been painted to create a 3D effect and adorned with over 2000 rhinestones in olive green and black.
The gloves are made of shiny black lycra and the scarf was also made with the same Black velvet fabric as the underskirt.
The Jewelry: Broach and earrings, were also custom made using stainless steel gold charms and earring pieces and decorated with Swarovski crystals.
The hat is made of two layers of Silk Satin Organza and decorated with heat transfer Flocked Vinyl with the same design pattern as the original design. The birds were sculpted with Apoxie clay and real feathers were also used to decorate the hat.
The doll’s face was repainted by artist Mira Mastura (@mirushkaz). Hair was restyled also by Me.
This dress was made for a 12″ doll for my personal collection.
