Costume design collaboration with artist Pythia for her final look on Canada’s Drag Race Season 2 presented on December 2021.
Inspired on her Greek heritage, we wanted to make an homage to everything greek in a fierce, fashionable and unique way. Using architectural elements such as Ionic style columns and different types of greek statues as inspiration, a corset/armour was created with scroll-like (volutes) shapes to accentuate the hips and different ornaments around the bodice to give a warrior like , but still elegant, silhouette with a cape at the back. This corset is worn under a long sleeve bodysuit with attached gloves that give a silver grey look to the skin.
The elongated pencil skirt is made of iridescent double organza adorned with more than 50 meters of clear rhinestone chain to recreate the shaft of the columns seen on many ancient Greek architecture.
