Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1997) – Movie

This dress was inspired by the beautiful design by Costume designer Ellen Mirojnick for the 1997 film Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella featuring Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother. 

It consists of a bodice, skirt, petticoat, gloves, necklace and crown, all hand crafted from patterns to sewing and building by me.

The bodice has a princess line pieces that open to a peplum. It is made in silk charmeuse and soft shimmery tulle, al decorated with glass rhinestones. It has off shoulder sleeves adorned with glass beads and rhinestones. It’s fully lined with closure at the centre back.

The skirt features 3 layers of tulle and silk charmeuse.

The petticoat was made with 2 layers of fabric with lace trim at the hem.

This dress was made for a 11.5″ doll (Made-To-Move Barbie).
